Academia Sinica Fellowships for Doctoral Candidates in the Humanities and Social Sciences

Applications for the 2015 Academia Sinica Fellowships for Doctoral Candidates in the Humanities and Social Sciences begin. Each applicant should submit the materials to the intended host Institute within Academia Sinica, including a curriculum vitae, official copies of Ph.D. academic records, a research plan, reprints of publications, and two letters of recommendation from one’s associated academic institution, together with a completed application form. (Each applicant should submit the application to only ONE intended host Institute. Duplicate submission will not be allowed. Besides, this program is not open to candidates who are citizens of the PRC yet.)
The duration of the Fellowship appointment is one year, including spending at least two or three days a week at Academia Sinica.Please contact the relevant Institutes for application deadlines. Academia Sinica Applications for the 2015 Second Session of the Postdoctoral Fellows Program Being Accepted from January 15 to March 2, 2015
Applications for Postdoctoral Research Fellowships at Academia Sinica (AS) for the Second Session of 2015 are now being accepted. Starting from January 15, 2015, all applications are to be processed on-line (http://db3n2u.sinica.edu.tw/~textdb/program). It is not necessary to send hard copies of application materials. All applications must be submitted to Academic Affairs Office (AAO) by the applicant’s principal investigator (PI) between January 15 and March 2, 2015. Appointment of postdoctoral fellows for this session commences on July 1, 2015.

Taiwan Fellowship
(app: May 1 – June 30)
The Taiwan Fellowship was established by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of China (Taiwan) to encourage experts, scholars, and doctoral students worldwide to conduct research in Taiwan’s universities or research institutions, thereby promoting international academic partnerships.
Taiwan Fellowship offers one economy class roundtrip ticket and monthly stipends.
The annual application period is from May 1 to June 30 (for grants for Jan-Dec the following year).
The minimum duration of a fellowship is three months, and the maximum one year.
